Holiday Cards, Lola Style
November 19, 2007Is it really that time already? Seriously? In addition to holiday shopping and the enormity of cooking a Thanksgiving meal (brine the turkey - trust me… you’ll thank me later), it’s about time to get those holiday cards off to the post office.
Since Lola is my roommate and best friend, I like to feature her in my holiday cards. It’s so much more personal than something generic from the store.
So check out what I made:
(and yes, that does say “Have a Pugnificent Holiday)
Want to know how I did it? Keep reading after the jump…
First, I picked a handful of photos of her and put them in a new folder called “Holiday” in My Photos. Then I launched RocketLife and chose that folder. Poof! Pictures loaded. I selected the Folding Note Card from the Product Catalog and clicked Customize & Order.
Next up, I wanted to pick a cool theme. I clicked the Select Theme or Occasion button and then chose Seasonal. I went with the Ornaments option (I love the red. It makes the pictures pop!). If you want to try different themes on for size, keep clicking the Try Theme Variations button.
After selecting my theme, I wanted to rearrange my photos. This is really easy too - just click the Try More Layouts button. Piece of cake, right? Once you’ve everything just right, click the Done button and head back to the main menu. I wanted to add some text to my card, so I chose the Customize Folding Note Card button. This opens up all kinds of cool options. I picked the Note Card Text option, chose my font and added the text to the bottom of the card.
And now, I’m done! Click that Done button again and add your cards to your cart. Aren’t you feeling the holiday cheer already?
